George Mason University Happiness Wall: Good Deeds Day on March 19th & International Happiness Day on March 20th

GMU GDD                New-Intl-Day-Happiness

Mason will be one of only 40 locations hosting “Happiness Walls” around the world as part of the United Nations International Day of Happiness on March 20th! Jot down what you’re doing on a Live Happy sticky note and post it on the Live Happy Happiness Wall – a 10 foot by 7 foot wall located in the Johnson Center’s Atrium March 19th and 20th!

On March 19th, come to the George Mason University North Plaza in Fairfax between 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM! If it rains, we will still be doing good at the rain location, Patriot Lounge Sub 1! The Happiness Wall will be in the Johnson Center Atrium!

Good Deeds Day is a celebration of “doing good.” The idea is that anyone can do good whether it is holding a door for someone or changing the world. This event is for individuals, groups of friends, organizations, and anyone who wants to “do good”.

This is the second annual Good Deeds Day at Mason! We will join the Greater Washington area and fifty countries around the globe for a community day of service. Established in Israel in 2007, Good Deeds Day celebrates the value and importance of giving back to the community. This day will give the Mason community an opportunity to participate in volunteer projects where we can get involved and make an impact!

To help us achieve these goals the Center for Advancement of Well-Being is a leading partner for Good Deeds Day. Good Deeds Day is the launch event for the Spring Into Well Being campaign. Learn more about Good Deeds Day by visiting http://gdd.goodnet.org.

On March 20, 2015 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm visit the Happiness Wall in the Johnson Center Atrium and help celebrate International Happiness Day!

Three years ago the United Nations established March 20 as the International Day of Happiness. Last year, Live Happy led the way leading the largest awareness campaign of any organization. This year we invite you to join in the festivities on March 20th.  You can visit a giant orange Happiness Wall in select cities, create your own wall in your office, child’s school, or community, take the #HappyActs Challenge or join the 24-Hour Happiness Live Stream!

Help spread happiness. Stop by and tell us what you’re doing to share/spread happiness here at Mason and beyond. Jot down what you’re doing on a Live Happy sticky note and post it on the Live Happy Happiness Wall – a 10 foot by 7 foot wall waiting to be covered in sticky notes about all the many ways members of Mason Nation spread happiness.

Take a selfie with your completed sticker near the wall, Tweet it and tag it with #HappyActs #gmu #SpringIntoWellBeing, and you’ll be part of a worldwide social media event. Mason will be one of only 40 locations hosting “Happiness Walls” around the world as part of the United Nations International Day of Happiness.
