Individual Counseling

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers individual counseling to help support student well-being. Individual counseling assists students in resolving issues that cause emotional distress and interfere with personal goals and academic success. Issues students often address include:

1)    Educational and academic goals

2)    Personal, family, relationship concerns

3)    Difficulty with alcohol, other substances or food

4)    Sexual, physical, and emotional abuse

5)    Management of emotions such as anxiety, depression, grief, and anger

6)    Study skills and strategies

7)    Traumatic experiences

8)    Racial and diversity issues

9)    Sexual identity issues
