This year’s TedxGeorgeMasonU conference will showcase some of the most captivating and thought-provoking movers and shakers within the Mason community and beyond. This year’s conference will showcase some of the most captivating and thought-provoking movers and shakers within the Mason community and beyond. The theme this year: Gathering STEAM will explore the intersections between the arts and sciences happening here at George Mason and around the country. We will also host speakers who are doing vital work everyday, that you probably do not even think about! Check back at this page over the next few weeks to learn more about what will be presented at this year’s TEDxGeorgeMasonU.
The Speakers will include Changwoo Ahn, David Anderson, Majula Dissanayake, Nadine Kabbani, Rebecca Kamen, Linda Apple Moson, Kevin Murray, and Paul Rogers. For more information on the speakers please visit here.
The Venue this year will be Harris Theatre on the Fairfax Campus of George Mason University. This venue seats around 400 audience members, and is designed to have excellent acoustics.
Directions & Parking information (including public transportation info) can be found here, please note that those specific directions take you to the Center for the Arts building. Harris theater is just up the hill behind that center near the statue of George Mason.
Tickets will include entry for the full conference, and a catered lunch. While there is no age limit, we can not be guaranteed that the day’s content will be appropriate for children. The recommended age of attendees is 13 and up. Please see ticket information here.
The Schedule will start at 10:30am sharp and will run until approximately 4:00pm and is tentative. If you intend to only stay for a particular speaker’s talk, we recommend attending for a session, as the day may end up ahead or behind schedule. Please view schedule details here.
